board page the other day and I'm now addicted. I'm always looking for ways
to dress up the children's area at church so your site is a wealth of ideas.
Havin'
Fun in the Son
I just did a 'board' myself last week. (It's actually a whole wall in
the foyer of our children's building) The children love to see pictures of
themselves displayed and I'm always looking for ways to highlight what we do
with the children when we have them so those 2 thoughts turned out to be
this board/wall. The words at the top say 'Havin' fun in the SON" Each of
the sheets that the photos are on is 1/2 sheet of posterboard and I labeled
different things that we do in children's ministry such as, Sunday school,
children's church, Praise Pack (choir), Pizza Parties, Ice Cream Parties.
Super Splash Saturday (water games on a hot July day), etc. Then because
I'm all about color, I got some color copy paper and put each photo on a
bright piece of copy paper that was just a tad bit bigger than the photo
itself. When I'm finished with a board such as this, I take everything
apart and send the photos home with the children.
As I was searching, trying to find a nice
'board' for fall (ours is really just a
wall), I saw that several of the members had
variations of a FALL IN LOVE WITH JESUS
board and I loved it. I thought I'd share
my version with all of you. I had the
children put their names on a small
construction paper pumpkin and then put it
in the pumpkin patch. I put my volunteer's
names on larger pumpkins. I also took some
loose fall leaves and put them randomly
around the board area. Hope you enjoy.
