Although you can't see it from this view there's a little boy and his puppy inside the hot air balloon. This was an added touch to the balloon.

The birds, butterflies, sun, kite and flowers were clip art from my print program.

For the clouds I used white craft paint ~ painted on with a sponge applicator using a swirling design to give a more realistic look.

For the darker green "grass" I used one of the $1.00 plastic table cover purchased from Walmart. The lighter green that's layered over the darker green and the sky was done with gift wrap.

Veteran's Day

(idea from BG)

Here's my 2009 New Year or General Winter board. I used the idea used by Zane Aldridge for the wording on the board and went from there with the scripture and the décor.
(idea from Zane Aldridge - BG)

Here's a close up of the scripture that I used for the board.
<------------

Of all the boards I've done this was one of my favorites.
Noah's Ark (original)

Noah, the lion and the giraffe were made by piecing together poster paper to make them large enough for the bulletin board. I painted everything using craft paint. Noah's beard is made using mop string.

Here's the 2007 ProLife Bulletin Board. The theme that I used was Life Savers.I handed out packets of life savers candy favors with a scripture attached to them.
This board wasn't created by me but was done by someone who was assisting me with the program. Her young son drew the picture of the boat in the picture.  (original)

I took pictures of all the teachers and various ministry workers in the church and posted their pictures on the board.  I used this picture

As the heading above each picture. Also I posted the lyrics to the song "Thank You For Giving To The Lord" on the board.

I organize and plan the Prolife program for the teens at church. I also do a program for the adults on abortion issues. I order special literature and have a guest speaker for this service. This year (2008) I had the West Virginians for Life executive director and a house of delegates member speak at the program.  (original)

For this board I left the white snowflake design fabric up for the Valentine board background. After all, it is still winter. I designed and  made my border for this board using my Printmaster Program. I used Printmaster for the smaller 'heart' graphics as well. Just enlarged the 'heart' clip art and added the text onto the hearts.  Often, as with this board, I cut color construction paper to 8 1/2 X 11 and put it thru my printer when I want something a little more heavy weight and with color. It works fine. All the small hearts around the larger heart were done with construction paper. The large heart was made using poster paper covered with fabric. (idea from BG)

Here's my 2009 General Summer bulletin board.

The posters for this board came from Carson-Dellosa.
The clouds in the sky were peel and stick reusable/repositionable appliques from the paint department at Walmart.
The desert sand is Stone textured paint that I bought at Walmart. I sprayed the paint onto brown card board that I had cut to fit where needed

BB was an original idea although the posters were bought from Carson-Dellosa.

Toilet paper bunny craft

Members can email me for the template along with instructions to make the bunny. Must have Bunny Template in the subject line of the email

These pot holders are hot glued to the formation as seen here. Hot glue pretty matching buttons on them to finish them off.
You can hang them by the loop as shown here or hot glue a magnet to the back and stick them on the refrigerator.
You can use them for eye glasses or scissors holders.

"These were fun to make and they're so easy to make. They would be perfect for a "Make and Take" craft for any event or function." - Merline

Toilet paper pumpkins.
These are made by covering a roll of toilet tissue with a square of colorful fabric. The fabric is tucked down into the center of the toilet paper tube.

The vine is a chenille stem with a leaf attached.

Here is a picture of a "CHOCOLATE" towel cake that I made for a shower. It was so much fun to make as well as a very easy project. I will be making more of these for showers. I am including the link that I used to get my instructions for doing my cake. I added a pizza cutter to this cake after this picture was taken.
