Lent

We are doing a series in Lent with each week being different. The first week is Free of Guilt -->

Second Week is Free of Stress and Worry, etc. These bulletin boards were designed to go with that theme but could be used as is too.

Christmas & WWII
I
created this bulletin board after reading a devotional by Kurt Stratton. I then made little gift cards out of blue paper with star cut-outs which had the words below on them. I invited people to take them and share them with people they called on in the hospital or leave them for people in waiting rooms etc.

This is what I put on the cards:
"He [God] counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name."

He counts the hairs on our heads (Mt. 10:30),loves us with an everlasting love (I Jn. 4), has given us individual gifts and talents (Mt. 25:15), has prepared, in advance, good works for us in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:10), dwells within each believer by His Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:11), places us as key members in His Body the Church (I Cor. 12), and will one day make us to judge even the angels (I Cor. 6:3)!

"star struck,"  by the glory, love and intimacy of "The Bright and Morning-Star" Jesus Christ (Rev. 22:16).

Gabriel and Heartstrings

I designed this board for the members to bring valentines for the shut-in's

Christmas / Advent
The Word was made Flesh

The Words behind the candles are all verses from Scripture with the words hope, love, peace , joy. The lights are the candles are battery operated and I will turn on one candle each week. On Christmas eve the Tree will be lit with white lights and the package unwrapped to reveal "baby Jesus"

Sunday School mission Heifer Project
I started out with someone  else's bulletin board idea for the Names of Jesus. I did it in spring colors in early March.  Then for Maundy Thursday I places pleated black fabric over the names in the middle and added grapes and fresh bread with the words Given for you. I also hung a very old print of Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane over the black.

For Good Friday I replaced the print with a cross made out of logs with the word forgiven. For Easter I will remove the black and put the words He is risen and superimpose the words He is Risen . I also have butterflies to add for Easter.

Easter

Here is the Easter update. I used long pins so the letters for "He is risen " stood off from the board. Hard to tell in the picture.

Memorial Day / 4th of July

I put up this board for Memorial day.  I Plan to leave it up till July 4th

I created a new bulleting board after watching a video by Rob Bell. These are the pictures.

Thanks and happy fall!

I put this up for THANKSGIVING and a 70th celebration for our church.

Connected in Christ / Puzzle

This bulletin board was put up to go along with a program to connect people and remind them that each piece is important to the whole picture. We had a picture puzzle of our church made and then gave each family a piece of the puzzle. The puzzle is laying under the bulletin board and we are trying to complete it. I used a puzzle for the picture in the center of the board.
