Photo Gallery Help

First of all make sure you are signed in to upload your photos.

Category folders are already created for you to add your photos to.

Contact me if you would like for me to add another category folder to your page.

Click into the category folder you want your photos to be in.

Click the "Upload" Tab (the upload tab won't show up if you are not logged in)

Please take note of the upload resolution and files size limit in the upload tab. Anything larger than what is listed will error and leave a blank image or the pic will not load at all when clicked on.

Two types of uploaders:

Java uploader: (temp disabled please use single file uploader)

The Java uploader lets you upload many files at once but doesn't let you add descriptions or edit titles. Have your photo files already named what you want because what the file name it will show as yout title. (if you want to title each photo use the single file uploader)
(The Java uploader seems to work better in Internet Explorer than in Firefox or Google Chrome. Others say it works fine for them in both. Just wanted to inform you of my experience with the uploader.)

Single File Upload:

If you want each of your photos to have a proper title and description or instructions, use the single file uploader. Giving your photo a proper title and description will make it easier for visitors to find your ideas. Make sure you have everything like you want it (example... spelling, wording etc....) before clicking the "upload" button, the only way to correct it right now is to re-upload the photo and type the description and title again. we will be working on this.

(just make sure you have some kind of important keywords for the photo in either the title or description, when people do a search the title and description is what is scanned. Leaving your title your file name like example: image00069.jpg will not be found in the search if it is a Christmas board or other)

TIPS:

With the single file uploader, it is a good rule to put short descriptions in the "description" box and long descriptions and instructions in the image comment bubble:

You can list the same picture in several categories if it fits. Example: a lot of my boards will fit Thanksgiving and Fall so I would list them in both FALL and HOLIDAYS

If I have long descriptions in the comment bubble I like to let my visitors know there is more info so they are not doing needless clicking. refer to the following pic
