Mary Anne
Liberty Baptist Church Howell, Michigan
My husband pastors Liberty
Baptist Church here in Howell, Michigan. I love your website! I thought I would
put the verses and any other writing for the bulletin boards below just in case
they are too hard to figure out from the pictures.

Gone
Fishing
Little hanging sign: "Gone Fishing
Lately?" (a takeoff on "Been Farmin' Lately?" I used blue cellophane wrap
for the water. For the border, I cut dark blue construction paper into
concave scallops, then did a matching set in light blue. When I put them
together for the border, the points of the opposite color come up between the
points of the other color.
Verse:
Matthew 4:19 "And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers
of men." |

Scroll
and Ink Bottle/Pen
Inspiration from this came from an
old church song that isn't heard much any more: "When God dips His pen of
love in my heart...He writes my soul a message He wants me to know..."
Verses: (I paraphrased on the board
for the "message" from God to my heart...then put the reference)
(1) - If you come to me, I will
never turn you away (see John 6:37);
(2) You are the apple of my eye!
(see Deuteronomy 32:10)
(3) Nothing can separate you from my
love! (see Romans 8:35-39)
(4) I've given you "exceeding great
and precious promises!" (see II Peter 1:4)
(5) These promises are written to
you...that your joy may be full! (I John 1:4)
Final line: "The love of God is
greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell!" |

Harvest
I used all kinds of "harvest" pictures
from Country magazine. The little corn shocks are made from tan
construction paper with a little gold ribbon with a tiny bow "binding" them.
The large shock is made from strips of tan creative twist all gathered
together.
Matthew 9:37
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the
labourers are few..." |

Christmas Tree
Words on this bulletin board are:
"Celebrate God's Gift to us!" and the verse -
James 1:17
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from
the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of
turning." |

Merry Christmas
This one is simple, but dramatic.
The words Merry Christmas were written totally using sheer 2-3" wired ribbon.
The background is black satin type fabric. I used real silk holly garlands as
accents. |

Valentine
Background: red satin. Heart in
center: Overlay of Valentine hearts printed on clear cellophane. I used real
silk roses to border the heart shape.
Triple border: Outer - pink
construction paper strips; middle: semi-sheer red wired ribbon; inner border
- "lacy" stretch paper white border.
Verse:
1John
3:1 Behold, what manner
of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of
God! |

Sandy Meditations
I used verses which speak of sand, and
prefaced each printout of the verse with what it relates to.
Concerning Abraham's seed:
Gen. 32:12
And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as
the sand of the sea,
which cannot be numbered for multitude.
Concerning the wisdom of Solomon:
1Kings 4:29
And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of
heart, even as the sand that is on the
sea shore.
Concerning God's thoughts toward us:
Psa 139:17-18
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of
them! If I should count them, they are
more in number than the sand.... |

School Theme
The words on the 4 slates and
accompanying verse print out beside each are as follows:
"Prepare for tests" - I Peter
1:7 -That the trial [test] of your faith, being much more
precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be
found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
"Do Your Homework!" - II
Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
"Need an Eraser?" - Psalm
119:9 -Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed
thereto according to thy word.
"Honors Assembly - Awards to be
given!" - I Corinthians 3:8b - "...and every man shall receive his own
reward according to his own labour." |

Treasures
... Verses used were I Peter 1:7
("trial of your faith - more precious than gold...etc. see same verse above)
Job 23:10 -
"But he knoweth the way that I take: when
he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."
Psalm 119:127 - "Therefore I love
thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold." |

Winter
I used Isaiah 1:18a - "Come
now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as
scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."
and the words of the first verse and
chorus of the hymn, "Whiter than Snow" (chorus: whiter than snow, yes whiter
than snow...now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow) |

Bambi Punctuation
is a little blurry and harder to read.
Here is the idea (and I can hardly remember everything it said): (I can't read
or remember the exact words for the bird) -The bird's wing reminds you of an
apostrophe which drops in from above and between two letters. The porcupine:
"I'm a little round fellow who makes you stop. I remind you
of a period."
The rabbit's upright ears: "I'm excited!!
You can tell by my ears straight and tall! I remind you of the exclamation
mark!"
The skunk: "See my curving tail? I remind
you of the question mark...don't I?" |
Raking
Leaves
Our good work just keeps piling
up!!! (displayed excellent papers) |
| I LOVE your
website...thanks so much!! It is a treasure trove of sharing between
Christian sisters!! ...didn't see any guys...
